A Non Destructive Examination (NDE) Scamp Technician together with the class Surveyor receives closed circuit television close-up images of underwater or dry structures, i.e. void spaces, tanks and double bottom areas, using video recording systems that enable the use of an array of lighting combinations to capture high resolution vision which exceeds that of the human eye enhancing Technician / Diver or Surveyor's ability to identify anomalies. The Scamp Technician or Diver moves safely and swiftly around the internal and external structures and shell plating taking NDE ultrasonic thickness measurements at the same time as carrying out the close-up CCTV survey as required.
